I am blessed to have travelled to many picturesque countries and places like Alaska, Canadian Rocky Mountains, New Zealand’s South Island and the Lake District in the UK. I am awed by the natural beauty of Switzerland every time I visit this relatively small-sized country with its riches galore.
Image 1 shows a stretch of the longest bridge in Switzerland - Holzbrucke Rapperswil-Hurden. Image 2 is a March 2024 sunset cloudscape at Rapperswil harbour. Image 3 is taken near the beginning of the bridge at the Rapperswil end.
A charming village, Rapperswil on Lake Zurich offers Alstadt, an interesting museum on local history and a pictureseque harbour amongst other things.
The theme “Movement” was interpreted photographically as below and was “Winner” in the weekly Aussie Photography compettion week ending 1st March 2024.
It is an honour and a privilege to be part of the APS Contemporary Photography group. This image was published in the Contemporary group February 2024 Newsletter. It was created in response to a theme of #artofcolourasdesign, exploring the interplay between colour and design.

On a photographic group trip with Ian Rolfe, dawn starts allowed us to experience magnificent light amongst the seascapes. This image was taken at Fetheringate Beach, Flinders island.
Although primarily loving landscape and seascape photography, experimentation with other genres can be interesting. The topic of this Exhibition was Realism.
