Local Parkdale provides cloudscape which I enjoyed quite recently. POSTSCRIPT Thank you to to the Herald Sun for publishing this image in their 13/10/2020 edition.
The two monochrome images submitted were Highly Commended. The first is of a waterfall near Ambleside, Cumbria northern UK. The second image is of Sandy Point beach in southern Victoria in Australia.
Thank you to everyone who supported me in the Australian Conceptual Photography Prize 2020 for my image “Life’s Uncertainty”. I think you may agree that the Artists’s statement and the image are perhaps particularly relevant at this time.

Macro photography is an interesting genre. It allows one to explore detail close-up. The first image “Pencil Colour” received a MERIT at the 2020 APS Australian Digital Photography Awards (ADPA). The other images “After the Rain” and “Drops“ were also successful ‘acceptances’ in ADPA. They were both taken after rain capturing raindrops. I use an Olympus EM-1 camera with an Olympus 6o mm macro lens.
Travel in these current times is a luxury we can ill afford. So we are currently dealing with travel memories. I was lucky enough to also win Image of the Week recently in the Aussie Photography Facebook group - Norwegian view. Another landscape image from travels is below - Strazlecki Ranges, Flinders Island and another from New Zealand.
Trees can be enjoyable to photograph. Their look can be influenced by the seasons. The first image below was image of the week - Aussie Photography Facebook Group, June 2020. It was taken near Cape Schanck. The second image captures trees in autumn - in Bright Victoria. The third image is a capture of a tree and surrounding environment near Poole, United Kingdom.
Congratulations to the award winners in the Mullins Australian Conceptual Photography Prize 2020 at Magnet Galleries Melbourne. There can be no physical gallery opening so there is instead a virtual tour. I have an image included in the finalists entitled “Life’s uncertainty” below. My artist’s statement is also below.

Based in bayside Melbourne, my local Mordialloc is blessed with a longish pier which is very popular with fishermen and women. The weather conditions there can be very changeable. Recently it became very windy around dusk.
The global health situation, on the positive side, allows some of us to reflect and ignite our passion and review our photographic work. Here are some images with an emphasis on light, as a reflection of positivism and hope.

Hawaii offered some unique seascape opportunities
Free Expressions is the magazine of the creative Contemporary Photography group of the Australian Photographic Society. This image of mine is one of street photography portraying contemporary mobile device usage ‘in the street’ with blur for effect. Location - Victoria Market, Melbourne.
Triptychs combine a number of images (3) together as one. This can facilitate storytelling or the conveying of a concept. This image captures a bird’s motion over time.

I enjoy the landscapes of Northern England. Some images here from my recent trip to UK.
Photo-touring with Rod Ireland from Keswick way in the Lake District, he suggested I explore monochrome interpretation of the landscape.
The Lake District in UK is known to be very picturesque. This image below is from a valley in Grasmere. Other images are also around the Lake District.
